Summary
This project enabled local and regional self-government units to carry out activities within their scope more efficiently, which ultimately resulted in an increase in the quality of public services provided to citizens in units. The project established a central database on the capacities of local and regional self-government units, which enabled the collection, consolidation and processing of data on local and regional self-government units and data on the work performed in units. On the basis of this data, an analysis of selected indicators for the assessment of the capacity of local and regional self-government units, primarily administrative and financial, but also all others necessary for the quality and efficient provision of services from their legally established scope was carried out. Based on the estimated or established capacities of local and regional self-government units, a catalogue of tasks performed by units was developed and categories of units were defined with respect to the tasks they perform.
