Elaboration of the analytical background for the preparation of the Report on the State Space of the Republic of Croatia for 2013–2016

Summary:
In compliance with the law, the Croatian Institute for Spatial Development had to prepare the Report on the State of Space of Croatia for the period 2013-2016 (Report), for which it was necessary to prepare an analytical background for the economy sector. The analytical background contained a detailed analysis of economy on the territory of the Republic of Croatia in the observed period. In addition, the background could be used for the elaboration of other spatial-planning documentation elaborated at the Institute and for purposes of the developmental projects. The analytical background was based on the scientific-expert perspective about the state and trends in the Croatian economy and their spatial influence. It consisted of the following parts:

• Demographic trends and migrations in Croatia in the period 2013-2017
• Structural and spatial analysis of the Croatian economy
• Analysis of coastal and island spatial-economic development
• Management of spatial-economic development
• Analysis of a system of reporting on the space-economy aspects.
