Presentation of the PRICON project results at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) and the Croatian Science Foundation
 

Jelena Budak, PhD presented PRICON project's research results at the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU) and the Croatian Science Foundation (HRZZ) on February 7, 2018. HAZU's Colloquiums are organized for a broader academic community and everyone interested with the aim of presenting new and interesting research.


Presentation of the PRICON project at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin 


PRICON project team members, Project leader Dr. Jelena Budak and doctoral student Vedran Recher, took part on March 18, 2016 in the eighth in a row workshop for doctoral students organized by the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin. Dr. Jelena Budak gave a lecture on the research project "Extended model of online privacy concern (PRICON)" with a particular emphasis on the part of the research conducted by Vedran Recher, doctoral student on the project, as part of his doctoral thesis "The impact of online privacy concerns on the intention of consumer behaviour intentions in online environment". On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at The Institute of Economics, Zagreb, Vedran Recher, PRICON project team member, held a lecture "Consumer behavior in the context of online privacy concern" as part of the Science Tuesday lecture series. 

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, members of the PRICON project team held at EIZ premises a meeting and workshop on the topic “PRICON model” / PRICON Workshop on Modelling PRIvacy CONcern Online. During the workshop, based on literature studies and preliminary research of specific variables in the model, results were compiled and PRICON model constructed. With this workshop the PRICON team is closer to the final definition of the research model variables, both from the determinants side as well as the consequences side of the concerns about privacy in the online environment. Definition of the research model is a key milestone for the next phase of the project – empirical research. 

Dr. Vatroslav Škare, PRICON project team member, participated on the 4th March 2015 in a public lecture organised as part of the “Sociology of dialogue” cycle by the Section “Society, economy, labour” of the Croatian Sociological Association in cooperation with Bogdan Ogrizović Library, Zagreb. The topic of the lecture “Post-modern consumer and digital age” is in the scope of the interest of the PRICON project. On this opportunity, he was able to share knowledge and experiences with his fellow speakers dr. sc. Ivan Burić from the Centre for Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb and dr. sc. Krešimir Žažar from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb and other participants.
